I’m deeply saddened by the growing tension between communities in our country.
And what saddens me most is the lack of a strong counter-voice against all these.
We’re better than this. We can definitely do better than this.
It feels that we’re falling for the same mistakes again and again.
We’re not learning from our own history.

We’re falling again for – Divide and rule.
We’ve gone through this and learned our lessons painfully.
Even though the major culprit today is vote bank politics, the lesson will be the same if we’re not careful.
We’re are at one of the best times in history and are poised for huge growth.
The reason – we have the largest young population, 356 million, in the world now with an average age of 29 years.

We have tremendous human capital which can change the trajectory of our country for the better if we provide them with good education and a better/peaceful environment.
From a cultural standpoint, we’re one of the most diverse nations in the world.
We have a perfect mix of diverse cultures coexisting together which can bring in a lot of creative ideas and inspiration for the future.

But, what’re we looking at right now?
Tension and hatred for the most part – at least in the mainstream media.
Are we evolving backward?
We’re positioned to become the best in the world right now and what are we doing with it. We’re dividing each other and are just focusing on the differences.

Driving differences/hatred into children’s minds is the worst thing we can do.
Whoever drives differences/hatred in the society has their own self-interests in mind – please keep this in mind when you jump on their thought bandwagons.
We’re all the culprits here.
Every community is a victim and culprit at the same time.
There’s no one who’s innocent here from this standpoint.
Raise your voice against your own people when they do wrong – whatever your beliefs are.

Politics is a status game where one party wins.
And by the nature of this game, it is positioned to use any strategy that can make this happen – to win.
The cost of doing this is not really thought of/cared about.
If we really think about it, we all have much more similarities than our differences – at least as a human.
What makes me wonder is the sheer lack of a strong voice that educates people on why we should focus on becoming better together.
I don’t see a leader in the entire nation who does this.

I just want to remind you – we’re at one of the best times in history as a nation to move ahead to the top.
Our human potential and cultural diversity are positioned in this way.
And we’re equipped with the right mix of education, tech, and attitude.
If we don’t think and act accordingly, we might not get another chance.
Just look at the countries that are well-off – they’ve all grown together keeping the best of people in mind.
What you and I can do is to make people around us understand we’re much better off together than divided.
Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything
George Bernard Shaw
Love you all.
