I have been pondering over a question for some time, how do I utilize the information I learned to be applied practically?
This leads to a new question of how do we come up with our opinions about a thing?
For me, both these questions seemed to be poles apart in the beginning. Later, it reached a point where both of them were inseparable from each other.
We capture some kind of wisdom daily, from our experiences, the videos we watch, or the content we consume. Now, the content might not necessarily be knowledgeable in itself, it may be plain entertainment. The whole point is that, have we picked up something new or not.

We can all agree now that we are picking up new information daily, constantly. This is the raw information.
Now, how can we use this information later which will be beneficial in some way?
The new data we picked up has to be malleable to be used with the existing information.
And that’s why we are taking a ‘Focus Walk’.
I would read a new article on any topic I’m interested in and then go for a walk.
I could see that since the human mind is turned on all the time, it needs something to chew on. And the information I just consumed acts as the fodder for the mind. It then chews and chews on the new information, and take some already known information and mix it up.
We’ll be mesmerized by the ability of our mind to connect the highly unrelated information. We come up with our own completely fresh perspectives.
Now I’m pretty sure that someone might have thought about this same conclusion, but that is okay for me.
I have come up with that conclusion in my own way, thus forming my own opinion on a subject.

What we hear most today is already formed analysis which leads us to the same old opinion.
Just try it for yourself, listen to the news or any article for that matter, it gives a conclusive point in the end.
This is good in case of matters where we are completely unaware of the subject at all. We might not have the time and energy to figure out everything on our own.
We can always apply the ‘focus walk’ to ideas and topics that we would like to find an answer to, subjects that are close to our hearts.
We don’t think to a conclusion today as frequently as we used to. We have straight-up facts on any imaginable subject around.
There are good and bad aspects of both arguments, but I would love to take a focused walk on the threads that matter to me.
I’m going to take a short walk, you might find it interesting if you try it once.
